After the conclusion of the shortest season of Game of Thrones (GoT), we fans have been left to wonder – what can we do to keep from obsessing about all the drama in Westeros? We have so many questions in mind: How will Jon Snow and Daenerys react when they learn of Jon’s true ancestry? What will Tyrion Lannister do with this discovery? And what about his sister Cersei who now sits on The Iron Throne? How will she take the news?

These are just a few of the questions that we are left pondering while we wait with bated breath for the final season. And with another long weekend ahead of us, here are some suggestions on things to do to keep us from dwelling on all the intriguing possibilities.

Are you still forlorn about the death and resurrection of Viserion into a White Walker dragon? Turn those tears into smiles by watching science come alive in The Mind Museum’s jaw-dropping exhibit “Dinosaurs Around the World.” Opening September 1st, 2017, this exhibit reacquaints you with “prehistoric” creatures that are as magnificent and yes, even deadly, as GoT’s three dragons. Learn about the earth’s evolution as the supercontinent Pangaea breaks up to create the seven continents we know today. Marvel at the different dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of years ago. These extinct creatures may not have been able to breathe dragon fire, but the exhibit that showcases them could leave you breathless.

Dinosaurs Around the World is a limited run exhibition produced by Imagine Exhibitions. The Mind Museum is located at J.Y. Campos Park, Third Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. For information regarding tickets and time slots, visit their website at: www.themindmuseum.org

It won’t be until 2019 when we fans of the show can revisit Westeros, so how about booking a flight to a dream destination while we wait? Drop by the 28th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) at the SMX Convention Center from September 1-3, 2017 and check out all the amazing deals on hand. This three-day event has some of the most awesome tourism offerings on the planet. You’ll have the opportunity to book and buy exclusive deals on international and domestic airfares, including accommodation and other tourism-related services. Travel the seas like a Greyjoy or book a flight ala Daenerys to the destination of your choice. You’re bound to find something spectacular here.

The Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) is the official organizer of the Philippine Travel Mart (PTM). Entrance tickets cost Php 40.00 for senior citizens and student attendees, and Php 50.00 for regular attendees. The exhibition is open from 10am to 8pm from September 1-3, 2017. Preparing for the Great War is going to take a long time. Sharpen your battle tactics and strategy with Greasy Snitches and Adventurers Anonymous Manila’s “Season 7 Launch of Dungeons & Dragons.” Create your own feisty character like Arya Stark, or perhaps give Jaime an early redemption by making him a paladin. Fight dragons (perhaps blue ones?) or domesticate them to keep as pets. Meet fellow adventurers when you book any of the tables in 10 city locations. Or if you prefer, you can play online. Let the biggest Dungeons & Dragons launch in the Philippines satisfy your desire for fantasy and adventure.

The Greasy Snitches and Adventurers Anonymous are groups of self-admitted nerds who love playing and organizing Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League events. For the season 7 launch, check out a location near you for free seats (https://goo.gl/tTpxFm) and register online at https://goo.gl/forms/QsmdmtFGvOK6owEf2

And if these three exciting activities aren’t enough, why not rewatch all seven seasons of one of the best television shows ever? You’ll feel like a three-eyed raven knowing what the future, past, and present hold for each character. You might even see or hear something you didn’t notice before. If you have GoT withdrawal symptoms during this three-day weekend, try to stay calm and remind yourself that a 10-million dollar per episode series wouldn’t be as majestically epic if they scrimped or rushed the process. Remember, Winter is coming – two years from now.
